Delete your account
Last updated: 20 October 2026
You can delete your account whenever you like, without asking anyone. It happens immediately and cannot be undone.
Deleting from the app
- Open KimGitti
- Go to the Settings tab
- Tap Delete account
- Confirm
That is all. There is no waiting period, no confirmation email, and no “your account will be frozen for 30 days” step in between.
What gets deleted
Everything attached to your account:
- Your account and sign-in details
- Your connected Instagram account
- Every data update you have taken
- Your follower and following lists
- Your follower history: who left and when, who joined and when
- Your post statistics and interaction records
- What your posts are about: the caption, the format, whether it carries music, and any place you tagged, with its coordinates
- Your Profile DNA: the topics worked out from those posts
- Your Premium state: the subscription record held in the app
No copy, archive or backup record of that data is retained afterwards, with one exception: the subscription record described below. If you sign in again you get a new account that starts from scratch.
A Premium subscription is not cancelled. It belongs to your store account and the store keeps billing it; cancel it in the store before deleting (Settings → Premium → Manage subscription). The store’s transaction number is kept, and while the store can still bill the subscription so are its plan, state and end date, so the subscription can be reconnected to your new account through Restore subscription if you return. See the Privacy Policy.
Your Instagram account is untouched. Only the data held in KimGitti is deleted.
If you cannot get into the app
If you have lost your phone, removed the app, or cannot sign in for any reason, you can request deletion by email:
Send it from the email address you signed in with. That is how we verify it is you. We ask for no other documentation.
We complete requests within 30 days at the latest, and in practice much sooner.
If you only want to disconnect Instagram
You do not need to delete your account. Settings → Disconnect removes the link between KimGitti and your Instagram account, and no further data is read from that account. You can connect it again later.
Two things it deliberately does not do, so that reconnecting is one tap rather than a fresh login:
- It does not sign you out of Instagram. That session lives in the in-app browser on your device. It never reaches us, and disconnecting does not clear it, the same way closing a tab does not log you out of a website. To end it, go to the connect screen and choose Use a different account, which signs the in-app browser out.
- It does not delete data already collected. Your previous updates, follower history and post statistics stay in your account.
If you want your data deleted too, use the account deletion above.
